RGB vs. CMYK

"I just got an email from the gallery coordinator at my school who is letting us put on our RGB V. CMYK show. She's all pissed that I marketed our show outside of RMCAD without her permission, and sent me the link to your post on X Rocks The spot. I can't tell you how stoked I am that you went ahead and promoted our show for us. It really means a lot. But for some ridiculous reason, I have to tell you to remove the post. I'm furious. But i guess them's the rules.. So if you could take it down for her sake, i'd appreciate it. Thanks again though."

This was just sent to me from Kyle. He is showing some of his work at the Phillip J. Steele Gallery at RMCAD this coming Friday through Monday. The image above is a stack of printed fliers that he's using to promote his show. (Which is okay I'm guessing.) But for some reason when I (a friend of Kyle's) posted something promoting his show on this blog (RGB) the gallery coordinator freaked out! I assure you Ms/Mrs. Gallery coordinator that Kyle didn't come to me asking to post something about his show. I posted the show because I find it interesting and think that the greater population of readers might enjoy attending the show.

Any way, Kyle has mad skills and you should go check out his show at RMCAD this weekend. And if you see the gallery coordinator tell her that xrocksthespot™ sent you.

Full Tang presents an accessible sound as well as unrivaled dance music!

The energetic quartet of multi-instrumentalists delivers a lasting memory at every show. Drawing a large influence from electric African music, Full Tang originally formed to explore and cover the Chimurenga music of Zimbabwe, Franconian Salsa of the Congo, and Highlife of Ghana and Nigeria. After studying hours from obtainable ...recordings, Full Tang fused a style that pays homage to an eclectic Africa, as well as their own musical upbringing of rock, blues, jazz, reggae and soul.

While in Colorado the Boston based band will promote their new EP of original compositions during July 2010
