Tomorrow @ Denver

General Information:

The Denver Regional Council of Governments, or DRCOG, brings together city and county governments and other interested groups in the metro area each year to plan Bike to Work Day as a way of raising awareness of bicycle commuting.

The League of American Bicyclists has been sponsoring National Bike Month and Bike to Work Day since 1956. Throughout most of the country, these events take place in May, but due to our unpredictable weather, the state legislature officially declared June as Colorado Bike Month, with the fourth Wednesday of the month being Bike to Work Day.

Bike to Work Day represents a grassroots effort by cities, counties, transportation planners, community organizations and others across the state to educate commuters about the benefits of using two wheels to get to work. Find out more.

Recognizing that many who participate are infrequent riders, we encourage you to read up on safety tips and rules of the road.. You may also need help from local sources to plan a good route and offer support, so here's a list of resources.

So get out there and ride those bikes, folks! Maybe you'll even be inspired to give up commuting via car for good!!!
